The hagiography of Vita Sackville-West, a female lover of Virginia Woolf, was filmed so beautifully and brilliantly that the motion picture, it is safe to say, matches the novel perfectly. When Orlando, the eponymous and androgynous heroine, pitched forward onto the ground and was on all fours, she implored from the bottom of her heart “Nature, nature, I’m your bride. Take me!” How whimsical is that!
